Built for ADHD minds, and for anyone whose week doesn’t run at one speed

Croílár is a task and note app with a game-flavoured surface. Nothing happens in the world unless you did something real: there is no energy bar, no pet that gets sad, and no streak waiting to break. It exists to make a rough week survivable, not to keep you opening the app.

How it works

  1. Write down a goal, then the small things that serve it

A Main Quest is something you want to get to. Side Quests are the actual small jobs. One Side Quest can serve more than one goal, because real tasks do. Nothing has to be linked to anything.

  2. Finish something, when you can, and it counts

Every completed quest earns XP toward a skill and Aura toward your companion. Doing it on time earns the most. Doing it late earns less, tapering gently, and never reaching zero. A quest you have not got to yet stays open.

  3. Eight skills read what you already do

Organization, Time Management, Initiation, Tenacity, Consistency, Focus, Resilience and Self-Care. Most are inferred from the shape of your tasks rather than tagged by hand, and each is shown as a name you climb, never a number or a percentage.

  4. Your weakest skill is worth the most

Aura is weighted against your own average, so whatever you have been neglecting quietly becomes the highest-value thing you can do. Coming back after a gap is worth more, not less.

  5. The room fills in behind you

Each skill owns one object in your hearth room, moving through five states as that skill grows. Your companion grows with your Aura, and only ever forward. Nothing announces itself. It is there for you to look at whenever you are ready.

The Your Path screen listing eight skills, each with a tier name such as Manager, Timekeeper and Crowned.
Skills are names you climb, never numbers.
A completion message reading: Quest closed, clean and true. Plus 25 XP, plus 9 Aura drawn from the effort.
What finishing something sounds like.

A look inside

The Side Quests agenda, grouped into Waiting from before, Today, Upcoming and At your leisure.

Side Quests

One agenda, grouped the way a day actually feels: what is waiting from before, what is today, what is coming, and what can happen whenever. An overdue task sits under a heading that says it is still yours. There is no warning red and no nuisance animations anywhere in this app.

The Main Quests screen showing three goals with their side-quest counts.

Main Quests

The bigger things, with the small ones gathered underneath. Chains can be left loose, or locked into order for the one project where sequence genuinely matters. A Main Quest can sit half-finished for as long as it needs to, without anything nagging you about it.

The Notes screen with a pinned note and a reverse-chronological feed.

Notes

One feed, newest first, with search and a few filters. No folders to maintain. Write a thought without deciding whether it is a task yet, then promote it to one later in a tap if it turns out to be. Notes are never scored.

The Rituals screen showing a Morning and a Wind-down routine, each with three steps.

Rituals

Small routines grouped at a time of your choosing. Each step earns exactly what it earns on its own, never gated on finishing the rest, because an all-or-nothing routine is only a streak wearing a nicer coat.

And a hearth that becomes yours

The Croílár home screen: the hearth room with a lit fire, a sleeping cat and a barn owl, above the daily capacity check-in.

Eight objects, one per skill, each moving quietly through five states as that skill grows. A companion who only ever grows forward. A pet asleep by the fire, if you want one, and small things you can add to make the place yours.

Underneath it, one gentle check-in: “How full is your cup today?” One tap, five states, entirely optional. A hard day counts for more, and asks you to explain nothing, though it lets you if you want to.

What makes it different

Late is still done.
A late quest tapers toward a smaller reward, never toward nothing, and never with a warning colour. It stays open, and it stays yours.
Nothing here decays.
Your companion, your room and your best tier never slip backward. One skill can ease back a single step while you practise others, framed as rest, never as failure.
Tiers have names, not numbers.
Resilience climbs from Sapling to Ancient, and every skill has its own ladder. No percentages, no progress bars, nothing to optimise against. No judgement: you are where you are, and that is fine.
Every layer is optional.
Notes, tags, the room, the lore, the daily check-in: leave any of it aside and nothing breaks.
The world reflects you.
Croílár never assigns work back. The room fills in from what you actually did; it never hands you chores to keep it happy.
Nothing here can track you.
No account, no Croílár server, no analytics, and no tracking. Your quests and notes sit in a database only your phone can read; internet access is only for optional purchases through Google Play.
Bramble the raven, seen head-on.

I’ll be here for the small moments and the big ones — the slips and the celebrations, all of it.

Your companion, the first time you arrive

Try the beta

Croílár is in closed testing on Android. Some copy is still being refined and a few features are still settling in, so expect rough edges. Say so when you hit one. Feedback during the beta genuinely shapes what ships next.

The invite button opens an email. It goes straight to the person who made the app, who adds testers by hand, so expect a reply from a human rather than an automatic link.
